AGING-IN-PLACE HOME MODIFICATION

The INTERIOR DESIGN GROUP specializes in meeting the needs of the aging, physically challenged and short term disabled at home.

Home modification is a new service field that meets the needs of those who wish to remain in their own homes as they age – called “aging-in-place”.

Since our living spaces were not designed and built to change and adapt to our changing needs, it is the resident and their loved ones who must plan, and with our help, modify their environment by adding supportive services and adapting their home.

The INTERIOR DESIGN GROUP provides expert, up-to-date, comprehensive planning and design services specializing in aging-in-place.

The INTERIOR DESIGN GROUP can extend the period of time people can safely remain in their homes through home modifications and assistive tools that ensure their living environments keep up with their changing physical needs.

Interior Designer, Judith Nicholson has earned additional certifications.  She is an Aging-in-Place Specialist(CAPS), and a Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designations bestowed by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)and the National Home Builders Association (NAHB).
