ABOUT

JUDITH NICHOLSON

Judith walks into a room and expertly visualizes the possibilities. She provides choices to her clients that meet their specific needs, because she has experienced aging-in-place.

Judith’s mother was a Parkinson’s patient.  She experienced a neurological disorder of the motor system.  She lived with Judith, her husband, and four children for eleven years.  Judith made adjustments to her home as her mother’s needs changed.  Over eleven years with a progressive disease there were many, many changes.

She has a unique perspective and compassionately personalizes homes for each client.  She poses options to meet their present and future needs.  She often finds while visiting with adult children who are planning to adapt a home for someone else, they see their own future and with Judith’s help, they too, start to make their home more adaptive for their inevitable changes.

Judith is a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design.  Her commitment to her clients is realized by additional certifications.  She has earned the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and the Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designations. (See the National Home Builder's Association NHBA and the American Association for Retired Persons AARP websites for more information.)
