The mission of the IDG is to guide clients to create a safe, comfortable and independent environment by designing custom solutions to individual needs.

 

  

The IDG specializes in meeting the needs of the aging, physically challenged and short term disabled at home.

Home modification is a new service field that meets the needs of those who wish to remain in their own homes as their needs change – called “Aging-in-Place”. 

Since our living spaces were not designed and built to change and adapt to our changing needs, it is the resident and their loved ones who must plan, and with our help, modify the environment by adding supportive services and adapting their home.

 The IDG provides expert, up-to-date, comprehensive planning and design services specializing in Aging-In-Place. 

 The IDG can extend the period of time people can safely remain in their homes through home modifications and assistive tools that ensure their living environments keep up with their changing physical needs.

 

 The IDG:

 § addresses structural standards, space planning and design to meet the client’s unique present and future needs with special emphasis on creative solutions for an adaptive living environment

§ is committed to providing exceptional quality interior design and universal design (making an environment friendly and functional for everyone at every stage of life) for residential and commercial property  

§ works in a collaborative spirit with other industry professionals toward meeting and exceeding the clients’ goals

§   is dedicated to applying professional skills to create and implement space planning, product selections, cost estimating, preparation of conceptual drawings and detailed plans

 

Judith is a graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design.  Her commitment to her clients is realized by additional certifications.  She has earned the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and the Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) designations.
